Advanced Ghost Hunting Kit

Now all of these things are great to have in your kit. Your EMF Detector and your digital recorder are probably the most essential to have in your kit. Does it stop there? Well, you want to catch visual evidence as well don't you? So it definitely doesn't stop there. Digitalcameras, night vision camcorders, thermal imaging camcorders, infrared cameras, and full-specrum cameras will take you even further in your paranormal investigations.
Digital Cameras: The Canon SD 1000 is a very popular one among ghost hunters. It's able to hold up to 400 photos. Canon, Kodak, and Nikon are good as well.
Infrared Night Vision Camcorder: Infrared Cameras give you valuable information hidden in the non-visible portion of the Electromagnetic Spectrum. It allows you to see heat energy, something you can't see with a regular camera.
Thermal Imaging Camera: Thermal imaging cameras detect radiation in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum. The electromagnetic spectrum is the range of all possible frequencies of electromagnetic radiation. Ghost's give off electromagnetic energy.
Full-Spectrum CameraThe full spectrum camera and Infrared light source will not disrupt the environment, which maintains the integrity of the paranormal investigation. The investigator's eyes will be able to see better in the dark conditions, not being blinded by the constant popping of the flash unit. You can even work without using a regular flashlight by carefully watching the full spectrum camera's LCD screen.

Ghost Hunting Equipment

Anytime paranormal phenomena manifests, it causes energy disturbances. It is known that paranormal events tap into existing energy sources around us to appear in our reality and cause a disturbance in natural (or background) energy levels. The disturbances are usually the result of paranormal activity. There are seven main categories of electronic detection equipment used by paranormal investigators to capture paranormal activity: EMF Detectors, Temperature Sensors, Ionization Detectors, Motion Detectors, EVP & Listening Devices, RF Detectors, and Radiation Monitors. Here is more on these seven pieces of equipment for ghost hunting.
EMF Detectors: There are three kinds of instruments used to detect electro-magneticfields (EMF). They are the electric field, magnetic field, and radio frequency (RF) meters. The Multi-Field Meters are very popular for most paranormal researchers. They measure two to three of these fields at once. They usually have a fast reacting needle gauge. Other meters monitor the combined magnetic and electric field strength and are known as gaussmeters. The ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) models are the best ones for paranormal research.
Temperature Sensors: Temperature Sensors are used for cold spots.another manifestation of energy depletion by paranormal events. The problem is that coldspots are short-lived and can’t be caught fast enough. Instant-reading infrared digital thermometers are the best to use for checking cold spots.
Ionization Detectors: Ions ionize the air to produce negatively charged particles. Paranormal activity is thought to ionize the air.
Motion Detectors: A motion detector is used in paranormal investigations to detect moving objects, opening doors and windows, and appearances of hot spots.
EVP & Listening Devices: Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) can be picked up on just about any common recording devices from radios and tape recorders to TV’s. Choose a digital recorder that can be uploaded directly onto a personal computer for analysis.
RF Detectors: Radio frequency (RF) detectors measure from ranges 1-4.5 GHz. At this range of electromagnetic spectrum is used for communications and checking cell phone activity, concealed bugging devices, remote cameras, etc. At times, paranormal manifestation have been associated with the lower range of RF signals as well as short bursts of high energy microwaves. Microwave energy has also been detected in conjunction with UFO close encounters. Human cells also generate low RF frequencies. It is unknown for why this occurs.
Radiation Encounters: Radioactive objects have been known to give off a green light  and white sparks (only seen in darkness) and have been responsible for “hauntings.” Researchers have found that fluctuations in background radiation indicates a disturbance in spirit energy. Radiation has also occurred with UFO encounters.
